Animal Motif Beaded Coin Purse

These motifs are recreated from a design on women's vintage headbands from the town of San Juan Sacatepequez. The design is woven in Czech glass beads by Mayan women near Lake Atitlán. The motif on the opposite side derives from Mayan women's huipiles in San Juan Atitán in Huehuetenango.

The pouches are lined in cotton poplin and close with a silky largetoothed zipper, This coin purse comfortably fits all your credit cards and a good wad of cash.
